... t take care of it for a few days but the car was safe to drive. Consequently we decided to continue on our journey along the coast of Lake Maggorie which is a very long and narrow lake and is called the Cannera Rivera. The scenery is gorgeous.

The final thing we did on Sunday was drive along the scenic road that winds up and through the Black Forest. Germans call this the Schwarldhochstraße, we called it the scenic road as the former is a bit difficult to pronounce. It was really beautiful, and winded about 60 km up to the highest elevation ...

The second stop into the Black Forest region was the Maulbronn Abbey, a Monastery built sometime in the 1300s. The pamphlet we got mentioned it was over 800 years old, but I'm getting confused as some components were a little younger than that, like 600 years old. In any case, it was incredible. They had some descriptions of the masonry that was done to construct it. I just can't imagine the hard work ...

We then ventured on to Gutach, where we wandered around the Black Forest Open Air Museum, discovering what life was like in a village here hundreds of years ago.
