A 6am flight from Gatwick to Biarritz meant a 3am alarm call for Bryan and I. On arrival in Biarritz, we met our transfer to the seaside resort of Hendaye (approx 30 mins’ drive). The most southwesterly town in France, Hendaye sits on ...

After Madrid I headed to South France to do some surfing and relaxing. I stayed with a friend of a friend, Georg, and hanging out with him was great. Georg and I have a similar sense of humor (haha rare find for me) and I was pretty lucky because Georg is a surf instructor and lives a five minute walk from the beach.

I wish I could write a bunch for this entry but all what I really did for the week was surf and cook food every day. It was pretty great and I owe Georg big time.

On the way we passed Europe's biggest sand dune, it was quite surreal ...

Now a couple of hours later and 'Al' has been practising his guitar and even singing along - very nice even if if it is raining and he's sitting outside under their awning doing so. It's rather surreal sight but a lovely sound. Number two for our book methinks ...

... I’ve ever seen!
After 3 or 4 hours we went back to the house and got in the shower and had
dinner. The next morning we got up early and the surf got even better. When we
got back to the apartment we went for a cycle on the beachfront. After good 3
hours we went back and went for another surf and it was 3-4 foot and really
steep takeoffs and really long rides. Just as we opened the door mum had
already cooked dinner and it was really ...
