Hondarribia

A travel blog entry by marywarner on Oct 30, 2014

Crossed the border into Spain. Great aire beach one side and marina the other and all free. Very spacious too until we woke up on Saturday morning and about 200 Spanish motorhomes had arrived overnight as it was their holiday weekend on 1st November All Saints ...

... be there, because I was originally going to start my Camino from Saint John De Luz. Oh the irony! From Hendaye we took a boat from the southern most port of France to the northernmost port of Spain and were back in Honderribia. There was a wedding party on our boat, looked like the groom was French and the bride was Spanish. They had gotten married in France and were going to Fiesta in Spain! We were all exhausted by the end of the day and walking 20K, so we ...

We were unimpressed and after some heated discussions about customer service, the shop owner ...

... I’ve ever seen!
After 3 or 4 hours we went back to the house and got in the shower and had
dinner. The next morning we got up early and the surf got even better. When we
got back to the apartment we went for a cycle on the beachfront. After good 3
hours we went back and went for another surf and it was 3-4 foot and really
steep takeoffs and really long rides. Just as we opened the door mum had
already cooked dinner and it was really ...
