... was on a blocked off Main Street with many stalls and a mass of locals in coats an scarves circulating. Shopping, talking with neighbours in the street, occupying tables out the front of cafes with family and friends with beer, coffees and the ever present cigarettes. There were great fromagerie stalls that drew us.

I had it for the last two days, now Jan, a cold. The weather has turned here to quite a bit cooler. So we had the breakfast provided by our hosts, who left to go south to look at property to buy that would be bigger ... land for animals. ... We came down a goat track of a path to our place. The fire was lit, the temperature had dropped and the grey clouds threatened.
