      Another very cold day (max of 2/3 degrees), but I love it because it is so different from Christmas weather in Oz.
      Unfortunately nothing special at breakfast in my hotel this Christmas morning so I'm a little disappointed.

      But an excellent lunch makes up for it. John booked the three of us into an up-market restaurant in the elegant Le Palace de Menthon ...

      ... and stopped. You know a restaurant needs to work on their interior decor when we all had the same first impression - was this a strip club? Turns out it wasn't, but for those that grew up in Aylmer, it reminded me of the British with slightly (I said slightly) better looking people.
