... way back to the apartment for lunch/dinner around 3pm. After eating we wandered around some more taking in the sights until it started to rain a bit. So we headed back for some more food at the apartment. Then after nightfall we wanted to see what the city looked like at night and explored some more. ... our hotel among the hundreds of small alley type streets. We have an incredible room with a second story view over one of the canals. Sandy is content to watch the gondolas go by our place and wave at the people. It is a hostel, which means we have to share a shower room with other people. (Not at the same time!) We will see how that goes in the morning. My embarrassing story of the trip happened today. In Europe they call the second floor, the first floor. We are on the ...

... and fun. After a few stops (Birreria Zanon being our favorite), we ended up in a tiny bar where Simon met some people from Wales. Michelle and I ordered the house wine for 2 euros each (a bargain!), and Simon accidentally left without paying his tab. We felt guilty but were all too tired to go back.

Once back at the ship, Michelle’s jetlag caught up with her, and she headed to bed. I briefly went to the bar and told my cruise friends goodbye, as they all had to leave very ...
