On wednesday, we jumped in a taxi (yes it would have been cheaper to get the bus, but we were still in shock at leaving our little bubble and agreed to reintergrate back to indian society slowly! Also didnt fancy trying to squeeze on a probably already full bus with our bags) to Margao, whch is the main population centre of south goa and for travellers is chiefly a transport hub with the states main train ...

The place had a very historical feel to it, and only opened to the public in 2011. We then went to Candolim Beach but ended up sitting in the bar for an hour. We weren't overly keen ...
In back in Europe! Road signs, no cows walking on the roads, women riding scooters, women in jeans (very attractive ones), road markings, orderly driving, multiplex cinemas, chain stores, nobody staring at me, Art Deco buildings, bars, casinos, no power cuts... Reverse culture shock. Nice for 1 day but need ...
