I took German classes just before we left on our trip. My instructor is a 30 something German woman who married a Texan and now lives in kerrville. She told us about the hundreds of public wellness centers across Germany. Any town of any size has one...there are over 1000 in all.
This is not to be confused with a gym...no exercise is done here...only relaxation. We got our chance in Meersburg. Harry ...

Meersburg has made it to the list of my all time favorite towns. It is on the north side of Lake Konstanze and was another German city spared bombing. Today we had our first REAL apple strudel. YUM. Our spellplatze for the evening is also very nice. Photos to ...

popular tourist destination and watching the different nationalities walking
around can keep one amused for some time.

We met up with Urs, Corinne’s brother, at a small coffee
shop where we enjoyed a cup of coffee and some pastries over ...

The city has one large island that is a hiker and bikers dream. It is also the home of a huge island wise market garden industry. Greenhouses and fields supply vegetables and greens throughout southern Germany. We spent the day biking around the island giving us a chance to get close tothe farming done here. The spellplatze was small and lovely and only 6 ...

We have made all the way south to the lake called Bodensee. It is also called Lake Konstance. It is on the border with Switzerland. This is where the Germans and the Swiss and everyone else comes to holiday, to boat, to sail to sit in the sun. The town Konstance was spared from the war bombing because of ...
