    ... every lane we change. Today's most tense passages were done without sat nav. Today we got lost for 8 miles - without sat nav. I'll willingly do the advert...     ... Andy was home from work. As it was around dinner time, we decided to take them out for their first meal in Germany, which was at a local Italian restaurant in Old Town. They really enjoyed the food at the Italian restaurant - my dad had his first German beer there!     ... Rhine, thanks WIkipedia!) so many people cross the border here to get things from Germany which are cheaper (and vice-versa).

    Its quite a picturesque place which (we imagine) would be very busy in the summer - some good coffee places (we liked Das Voglhaus!) and a nice walk along the lake front.

    ... but it was nice because we were in a spot we could see the beautiful lake. Before taking this trip, I studied the map to find out exactly where I needed to be and when...when we got to Konstanz. Maps and actually being in the situation are very different. I got off the bus and was all turned around. So, I walked toward the giant mall at the end of the street. I saw the sign for Sea Life but there were no directions. No "1/2 mile this way"...nothing showing me where to go. Great. ...
