... that kinda expense & moved on ;-)

So from Linderhof we took the Deutsche Alpenstrasse (we wavered a few times to see interesting stuff but always came back to it) to Immenstadt, then a bit of cross country & on to Fussen. The temps had been climbing steadily & we hit 29c around Fussen. We didn't visit Neuschwanstein partly cos of the heat & partly due to time pressures. So we took the road up the side of Forggensee ...

... bigger towns, more traffic - and a lot warmed. We'd started the day at 10c, it rose to 16c before we dropped down from the 500 & suddenly we were in city traffic in 24c ! Time to whip off the waterproofs & get some water for our lunch stop (a couple of rolls, crisps & cherries) taken in a layby off the busy highway as I didn't want to waste time exiting it & trying to find somewhere quiet.

... Sunday evening and spent a lot of time just walking around town. We went through the Residenz (the imperial palace), the Olympic park, the English Gardens, the Neue Pinakothek (art museum), and Bavarian National Museum. We ended up really worn out, since we walked all over the place, only taking the U-Bahn to get back and forth from the Olympic Park. We found a great little place selling delicious falafel ...

I knew that I had to get off in the town of Fussen and asked I needed to change trains at some point and she said yes I did. And I asked at what station and her response was 'slhkerklej' and I repeated back what I understood to be as 'Sheradfkle' and she noddded yes, that was correct. Ok, lot of help ...
