Portugal is rapidly becoming our favorite place in the world. Why, you ask? Three reasons: interesting and beautiful beaches, pitchers of sangria and flavorful, fresh seafood. Here in Praia de Luz we have found all three within easy access. We're enjoying the variety and changing flavors of Portugal, especially this Algarve region.

... We're on the second floor with a huge balcony that overlooks an Italian style garden with fountain and lots of cypress trees and other Mediterranean foliage. The whole complex is in the Italian style with soft gold, stuccoed buildings. There are two pools, one adult, one child, and a nice restaurant in the complex. We're very happy with it. Well our adventures aboard White Rose have started anew with the arrival of the boat in Horta on the island of Faial in the Azores (Middle of the North Atlantic).
