... having our last night. The storm was right over us drowning our tent like crazy. Is that a déjà-vu? You betcha! Gee, we were so upset stressing like in old times and just ready to give up. Next morning we dry out our tent, clean it real neatly and decide to get a dry accommodation until Jason’s parents get here. We went to our favourite place, Troncones! Abuelita was more than happy to rent out one of her little rooms to us, since we were the only guests she had. We were ...

The beach is full of restaurants from end to end, the water is crystal clear for swimming and snorkeling, and there is even a small surf break. We have made some friends at a couple of restaurants there and have become regulars. Last time we were there we were with friends from town and we got to enjoy a feast that the restaurants owner, Noyo, had made for us. Right on the waters edge, under the umbrellas. It almost felt decadent.
... perfectly together, reassuring in my mind that God is a wonderful creator, and that there is no way a "Big Bang" could have created such beauty and stillness. I found myself, standing on the beach thanking God for the beach and for His great work of art!
Okay...back to life here in Irapuato. I'll miss the beach, but my sunburned body won't. I gotta give it a break! Tomorrow back to English classes! Keep in touch!
Ixtapa surprised both Christina and I as the area was like one big Resort. Much different then the rest of Mexico, the gardens were manicured, no garbage, and decent roads. This was one of the first RV Parks we found that was in good shape offering all the amenities at a reasonable price, 140 pesos (US$10.37). We checked out the town and market, they were really set up for the American tourist. I would have to say it ...
Ixtapa, Guerrero, Mexico cmedancing... had a kick ass arcade for the kids. Go figure. Helen and I had a great dinner way a top the bay one night and dinner in the downtown area another night. We had this great bay access path below our hotel that gave us a thirty minute walk to town and made a great jogging path in the morning. I even gave the surf a try right in front of our hotel in the bay but was way to close to the rocks for me. This little local nut on a surf board would ride waves right into the rocks.
Zihuatanejo, Pacific Coast, Mexico joelmunoz1968... relatively cheap prices and fabulous winter weather.
Yes, the beautiful weather is something we appreciated greatly during our 42-day trip.
Just as an aside, there is no destination in Europe that has such warm temperatures in the winter months - not the south of Italy, Spain or Greece. Not even North Africa in places like Tunisia and Morocco is assured of the warm temperatures and good weather of Mexico.
This is all to say that Mexico ...
... 8217;s only pedestrian street; so if you’re after a quiet night’s sleep then avoid getting one of the rooms that face the street, as they will get pretty noisy in the evenings from the bars around. Their current rates were 700 peso for 1 or 2 persons. Esmeralda, the pleasant owner, spoke excellent English and is a good source for information.
Zihuatanejo, Pacific Coast, Mexico amazingjourneys... and already went back. We spend some good times with him and introduced him to Las Gatas. The three of us went snorkelling and it was great fun. Fish in many colours, with sparkles and funny shapes! I also must admit that is was quite nice being surrounded by two hot surfer guys, even though of course my heart only beats for my true baby!! He is the hottest anyways! Whenever there is a swell, some good waves come to Las Gatas and bring lots of local surfers ...
Zihuatanejo, Mexico lenitasworld... I followed Francisco along the well-worn path circling the crater. Stunning views greeted me from all points of the compass. The burnt blasted landscape below gave way to lush backdrops of gently sloping cones smothered in thick green forest. On the north-western skyline was visible the distant Volcán de Colima, which had been predicted to go off sometime in the not too distant future. Descending quickly via a long slide down the cone's far slope ...
Zihuatanejo, Mexico fintan... are pretty bad but, my heart isn't that bad. The brain one was because the doctor saw two blood vessels that appeared to be attached to each other. So what did I do? I went to Switzerland and Austria for 16 day's! And even skied in the Swiss Alps! When I got back the doctor flipped out and then told me that he was afraid that I was going to have an Aneurism! It turned out to be nothing. Though the procedure was like having warm coffee poured on ...
