... people were 10 minutes late in openign, but nobody cares.
We then set off for neptunes cave. What a fantastic spectacle. 670 steps down to the sea and then back up again.

... the Carbiniery –highway patrol. The first time we have ever needed our international drivers licenses. Very serious faces and assault riffles kept our giggles in check until we got the all clear. Much laughter in the bongo van as Guido explained that in Italy there are Irish jokes but the Irish are substituted with the Carbiniery. Anyway time to visit a winery and taste some Vertmentino ciao ...

... Rome, Cagliari was built on 7 hills. The oldest part of the city was built on one of these hills, resulting in stunning views, especially from Bastione San Remy, overlooking the city and harbor. We kept the kids trudging on in search of Torre dell’Elefante, which even elephant obsessed Abigail thought as boring! We had our first taste of traditional Sardinian food (amazing!) before we headed home to Tertenia.
