... in the picture. There were many Kolsch brauhauses around and we stopped for lunch at Brauhaus Sion. People were dressed up everywhere like it was Halloween and we later discovered it was a carnival. Annissa tried the currywurst and I had a foot long bratwurst with fried potatoes and a creamy cabbage. The people next to us had pork knuckles and what must have been a 6 foot long bratwurst. I also tried ...

... place you can't stand still in as you just get carried along with the crowds.

I was making my way to Dusseldorf Hafen, this is the media harbour a rejuvenated area of once docklands now hosts the media and the Rhine Tower, the old harbour buildings have been updated into offices or accommodation, I can imagine it would be an expensive place to live.

... saved time queuing, the baggage check in was very easy and automated, the machine weighed the bad then printed out a label to attach and off it went down the conveyer belt. Passport control went smoothly too and this gave me plenty of time for a coffee and relax before the flight, up to now it was going just fine and I was enjoying my little adventure.

... the hostel and in the opposite direction of where we wanted to go.

Back on the right track we made our way to the newer buildings in Cologne. They are called the crane buildings and there are three of them. They don't look like any cranes I have ever seen though, bird or machine. We kind of hung around underneath the overhangs because it had started to rain harder. When we started to see blue sky we ventured out from our hiding place. We made a quick stop in ...

... We finished the 'marathon' at 5 am and two of my classmates were lost so we stayed an extra two hours after the show trying to find them. The police and medics had no record of them in the drunk tank or hospital so we were forced to leave without them. Luckily they both showed up in one piece, for the most part, later on the same day back in Luxembourg. It was an awesome weekend! :)
