I totally forgot to mention two really neat parts of our day yesterday. So, here they are with some neat pics too!

First, during our walk along the city wall we found an exit with a long (and steep) path to the river valley below. From our B&B room we can see the cute village houses down there, so we figured we might as well check it out. For some reason we just keep choosing to walk up and down sleep hills and stairs! ... I was able to sneak a few in before I saw that sign. The biggest room was about three stories high with a massive Christmas tree covered in over 1000 glass bulb ornaments. Even the ceiling was covered in Christmas decorations!

... beautiful. We stopped at Creglingen for lunch. We spent the day driving through gorgeous town after gorgeous town.

We arrived at Rothenburg late afternoon, found some accomodation in a hotel which was nice & headed into the Old Town.

Rothenberg was beautiful in a Disneyland kind of way. (Not meant as a criticism as you know how we love Disney). We just felt it had a more staged, touristy feel to it. Probably not helped by the obvious bus loads of ...
