... to everyone. The first one had a huge choir conducted by a Gary Glitter look alike and a fiery pit. The next one was even more incomprehensible with lots of water and even more fire! The audience sat on the ground and the strange performers did their thing with large a mount of flame on a weird structure just yards from the audience.

On Sunday we went to Le Gargantuesque pique-nique at a beautifull park. The whole place full of ...

Angers, Pays de la Loire, France remyarnouHello,
We left Blois on Sunday Afternoon, and headed to Angers where my Mon & Dad are from. That is where my gran parents are leaving also. We plan to stay for 5 days in Angers (and around) before aheading to "les Sables d'olonnes" a beach town on the Atlantic coast.
Angers, Pays de la Loire, France remyarnou... right but here's what I got. There was a trial going on that morning and they weren't going to work until they heard the result. After about a half hour kids started heading to class so I guess they liked the results. I went and asked the principal if classes were back to normal and she said no, the times were changed. Ugh. It'd be really nice if someone would tell me about these things beforehand. There's a strike on the 19th and I doubt if any of them tell me about it ...
Angers, Pays de la Loire, France mamakarpusAs we roll out of bed, it begins to sink in that today is our LAST DAY here in Chateau-Gontier. So sad. ... We definately have some very exciting things coming up on the last two legs of our journey ... but we will be ending our time in this small town in the French countryside. At 10:30am, Franck, Vincent, and Sandrine arrive to our house as planned. Janice, me, and the two Frenchmen will go play tennis. Sandrine has ...
Chateau-Gontier, France styrskyWell, perhaps not RE-united. ... United anyhow. Around 10am Sandrine stops by the house and she and Janice head off to the market to buy some food for today's lunch. Franck goes to the back doctor. The girls sleep (jetlag!). The kids and I enjoy one of our last walks to the boulangerie, and wait at the house for everybody's return. By noon, the entire house is full of playing kids and laughing adults. Franck and Sandrine and their three girls, Vincent and ...
Chateau-Gontier, France styrskyToday we rest. I eat some buttery, sugary goodness to start the day. The kids play happilly. Janice packs and cleans the house a bit. The phone rings, its Sandrine! They have arrived back to France safely and are staying at Frank's mother's home for the next three days. A plan is made to meet at the house at 3:30pm so that we can finally see one another face to face ...
Chateau-Gontier, France styrskyBack in Chateau-Gontier means a good night's sleep ... a relaxing morning with a walk to la boulangerrie with the kids in the AM ... and of course, TENNIS! Janice kicks my butt AGAIN. 6-3, 6-2. Argh. Back to the house for her to rest with the kids, and then I head off to meet Hubert for another visit to his rural chateau. We play tennis for just over one hour, and talk for another two. We discuss everything from WW1 and WW2 ...
Chateau-Gontier, France styrskyWe wake up feeling VERY refreshed ... a solid night's sleep for all! The kids wake up asking about the hotel breakfast. So cool that they like it here. Samuel says, "I wish we could live here all the time. Well, not all the time because I miss my friends. But maybe if they all could come here... then I would." Janice offers to take the kids on the carroseal (they've been dying to go since we got here) ... and let me go check out the Arromanches D-Day museum, that I've ...
