Hotel Balladins Chateau-Gontier / Laval Confort

Last Friday we made the 130m journey south to Angers. Beautiful campsite by Lac du Maine 3 miles into the town, walking past lots of herons, grebes and French runners and cyclists. On Saturday we strolled into town to discover that the town had been overtaken by Angels and Demons. For the last 10 years Angers has had a festival on a different theme. We had a blast during that week.
Also, daddy is arriving on Aug 6th...look forward to see him.

Our 2 weeks in Sables d'Olonnes are over. We had a great time !
Now back to Angers where we are getting Baptise on Sunday Aug 2nd.
We all are getting baptise, Remy, Zoe & Clementine.
Also, it is Guillaume baptism (my uncle son).
We are looking forward to that big party with the cousins

We left Blois on Sunday Afternoon, and headed to Angers where my Mon & Dad are from. That is where my gran parents are leaving also. We plan to stay for 5 days in Angers (and around) before aheading to "les Sables d'olonnes" a beach town on the Atlantic coast.

... dirty. These kids are only 10 and they make me feel dirty. The girls just talked amongst themselves the whole time but the boys were constantly hitting on me and asking me all kinds of personal questions. They are 10 years old. And when they would come up to the front to do something, they would stroke me or touch me before returning to their seat. THEN, after class, I caught two boys trying to touch my butt. They're 10. As we roll out of bed, it begins to sink in that today is our LAST DAY here in Chateau-Gontier. So sad. ... We definately have some very exciting things coming up on the last two legs of our journey ... but we will be ending our time in this small town in the French countryside. Well, perhaps not RE-united. ... United anyhow. Around 10am Sandrine stops by the house and she and Janice head off to the market to buy some food for today's lunch. Franck goes to the back doctor. The girls sleep (jetlag!). The kids and I enjoy one of our last walks to the boulangerie, and wait at the house for everybody's return. Today we rest. I eat some buttery, sugary goodness to start the day. The kids play happilly. Janice packs and cleans the house a bit. The phone rings, its Sandrine! They have arrived back to France safely and are staying at Frank's mother's home for the next three days. A plan is made to meet at the house at 3:30pm so that we can finally see one another face to face ...

Back in Chateau-Gontier means a good night's sleep ... a relaxing morning with a walk to la boulangerrie with the kids in the AM ... and of course, TENNIS! Janice kicks my butt AGAIN. 6-3, 6-2. Argh. Back to the house for her to rest with the kids, and then I head off to meet Hubert for another visit to his rural chateau. We play tennis for just over one hour, and talk for another two. We wake up feeling VERY refreshed ... a solid night's sleep for all! The kids wake up asking about the hotel breakfast. So cool that they like it here. Samuel says, "I wish we could live here all the time. Well, not all the time because I miss my friends. But maybe if they all could come here... then I would."
