Day 16 - The Monte Carlo
... Cannes the kebab place was closed :( craving one we looked up on the Internet for kebab places in Cannes. We enjoyed our kebabs and marvelled at the curios sauce that had a taste that wasn't quite recognisable. We headed back down to the beach waking all the way along the shore the pathway was lit up by rainbow lights that danced in patterns on the floor! We return to the ancestral manse
... up on a branch of the lemon tree so that it contained a blossom, which grew into a lemon within the bottle. When it was ripe, I cut the stem of the lemon, untied the bottle, and filled it with vodka. We still have it. During its decade-long marination the lemon has become somewhat bleached out, and the vodka has acquired a strong yellow tint. The passage of time can be marked in so many ways.

Cannes & Mougins
... with winding narrow paths filled with art and French Country shops. Then Philippe showed us where he used to live and work in Cannes. We ate a nice 3 course dinner outside on the terrace in Cannes along the coast. The food was outstanding. The weather was perfect. Looking forward to Monte Carlo tomorrow.

Solo barbeque
... diet plan so I just did it all on my lonesome.
Their barbies consist of a wire rack you put the tucker on and arrange the rack at a suitable height over the fire you've made. It worked out OK. I had a nice chop and a couple of snags and, when I sat down to eat it with a nice glass of red, Juliet emerged from her hideaway and sat with me.
But, for the picture, I had to use self-timer having no-one there to help.

The One Where We Got Lucky
