... Cepin and the family home of Drago’s brothers house and cousin Zelko's family. In this case there were 3 family houses all located next to each other (one of which we eventually stated in).

We were greeted by the Didda’s brother wife and the many cousins and 2nd cousins - by this time it was hard to keep track of who was who!!!

... going through the nationalities with the guide: I suggested for Rachel hers was 'non-drinker'.

The principal reason to walk into the new town was for money for some of us and to have an ice cream cone 10 CK. He said at one stage he knew little about the architecture of the buildings but thought they were nice. He did talk about the war, a subject which I suspect will be inescapable here.

The guide had an interesting observation about alcohol consumption ...

... Hungarian architecture is there.

The city is slowly on the mend, and it seems that sidewalk beer pubs and hair joints are the main industries. I guess no matter who you are you gotta get your drink on and your hair did. I hope Osijek can keep what is left of its past. Then again, maybe this is a place that doesn't want to look back.
