Today we arrived in Istanbul at 6am, the flights were decent -the second flight we were able to lay down and sleep which was such a bonus. After wandering around the Roman city walls we found the Church/Museum in a state of being refurbished. Unfortunately the main part of the church is shut at the moment, so we could only see the outer naves. There were lovely Byzantine mosaics, a good few which were mainly intact, however after seeing the church in Pula in Croatia which also had amazing Byzantine mosaics we were left a little underwhelmed.
