... I take to sightseeing the following day. Exploring the some of the regions infamous Orthodox churches. Dating from the 15th and 16th centuries the monasteries are painted in descriptive motifs highlighting important tales from the bible and chronicling the saints and profits. The landscape dotted with so many it is hard to choose which ones to visit but by about the 4th or 5th they all start to look the same so choose wisely.

Drove thru some really charming villages with very interesting architecture but for whatever reason we could not stop for ...

She asks me "Jewish?," not in an anti-Semitic way, but I think because mostly Jews go to back to Ukraine to search for their roots. She then asked me if I am leaving Ukraine through the same border. I answer no, and tell her that I will leave from Ivano-Frankivsk. She asks to see my ticket, and notices that it is a ticket to Tel Aviv, ...

There are nine painted monasteries in Romania. These monasteries are remarkable because they have murals painted on the outside of them. These murals are incredibly well-kept and preserved considering how long ago they were painted. They were painted in much the same style and feature many of the same scenes. Our group ...
