... realized Rob was in 29C and I was in 42K on the Rome/Toronto leg of the trip. The extremely rude Alitalia agent blamed our travel agent and rudely dismissed us by rudely saying there was nothing she could do (did I mention she was rude?).

It was a bit too close for comfort but I guess what happened is that the men chopping around the olive trees had not cleared the brush at the base so it caught and spread. I went to the beach today as all my cousins were there and it is our last opportunity to go as tomorrow will be spent packing and visiting. The ocean was quite calm and it's registering about 37 C. today so the beach was very crowded. Lunch at the house was a scattered affair as everyone arrived back at various times and some ate before hand or weren't eating until later.
