... walked around the streets for a while but then we went to the Galileo Museum. It showed all his,and other scientists, inventions and tributes to the world. At the end was my favourite bit because there were interactive science games. Then we headed back to the ship for me to go to the Splash Academy and to play BINGO.

... go up in the air then back to the water - so much fun. When we reached the ship there were many uniformed sailors to help us aboard - they would only allow one at a time as it was so rough. The lifeboat was banging against the ship so badly that we had to wait until it was close enough to step over. Anyway back on board now, sitting watching the water getting rougher and feeling sorry for the people who have left it to the last moment to come aboard. Wonder how many will make ...

... last holiday in Europe. She is big, massive …oh we should clarify; we are talking about the ship. It would be on a par with the “Ventura” but it does have a water park on very top deck. A water park! Really? With water slides all over the place in all different colours. Just a bit pretentious, we say.

We have berthed in Livorno today. Gateway to Pisa, Lucca and Florence. A shuttle bus will take us from port into town. Another sunny, beautiful day here.

Back in 1998 when we were leaving Florence our car got broken into and all our belongings were stolen, so sadly Tuscany doesn't hold many good memories for us.

The locals here travel around on push bikes and vespas. Many of them very well dressed too. ...

... Boboli Gardens the long stretching Fiume Arno (river) with its array of bridges including the Ponte Vecchio & the memorable top of The Duomo. Everything that we had seen that day was summarised from this one view point. Magnifico!
