... to be in the apartment. Annie went off for swim in the very nice pool next door. Free for us, part of the apartment deal. Annie reports it was beautiful, warm and puts our public pools to shame. Now after a nice meal and more wonderful Austrian wine we shall settle down to Poldark.... sad I know.

... shirt, sweater, fleece and quilted gilet. I know I am renowned for being a wimp but most of the people were shivering.
The walk down was the best bit and the views were lovely, we had the most delicious goulash soup with overlooking the valley. Just as we reached the car large splats of rain started to fall, great timing. So we skipped the castle, might do that tomorrow and are now back in the apartment listening to pouring rain and rushing streams.
... lake and mountains. What is a surprise is the amount of Arab families on holiday? When I was booking I saw a lot of feedback from Arab people staying in hotels and apartments. I suppose it is different but there are hundreds of them strolling around, mostly families. Even some of the signs on the town are in Arabic. Amazing.
Tourist day tomorrow - castles and ice!
... told the price for staying. I was feart to ask a third time! Installed before lunchtime, a first for us, we had time to wander round the village and then find a hotel with a sheltered patio in the sunshine to partake of a little nourishment. The little turned out to be rather a lot, but a bottle of best wine (well Austrian best) helped to wash it down. Back at the ranch, it was a case of shorts ...
... by a chairlift (with a fancy windscreen), then finally by cablecar for the final section. The cablecar went straight into the clouds, then emerged over the top of most of them. I have to say the view from the top was a bit disappointing even though, or perhaps because we were above the majority of a scattered cloud cover. However, we relished in getting properly cold.
