Today was a travel day but we've now arrived and it's gorgeous. On our way out for fondu at a local beer hall ... A change of pace from the mussels and wine in Nice yesterday. There will be yodeling and horn blowing. Can't wait to see sharon up there drunk on her two beer and giving'r! :) Weather is still perfect ... Warm and sunny everywhere! Miss you all ... See you ...

... a nice bar with a great surrounding view and the staff were pretty nice, I ordered a Mojito for 15 CHF, luckily I only needed one. We ended up catching the train back to Zug for the night and returning late the next day after a huge sleep in, a bit of time talking to family back home on line and a massive eggs and beans on toast breakfast a la George and Simon. Sunday saw us go to the art gallery, Sammlung Rosengart ...

... and didn't pester her *g* It was only after the bus had been and gone that she started to think we might be there for the train. She assumed we were English because we were so polite about it *G*

Once she realised, she sold us tickets, let us into the carriage, and set off. With just the two of us *G* We passed the other train on its way down - they have to send one down as the other goes up, and there's only one spot on the way where the tracks split. ...

... didn't make the first class carriages. We'll sort that out on the way back.

Now this was an amazing train trip. The Zurich to Luzern trip was all suburbs, but Luzern to Meiringen was mountains. There were sections of the trip where the track was so steep we had to be pulled up and down on chains like a rollercoaster going up the big hill. And the views were stunning. Mountains, lakes, waterfalls, clouds...it's just, epic.
