      1st August is Swiss national day, celebrating neutrality for many years. For my family, it is tradition to go to the Husli (little house in Swiss German), a little chalet build in the 60s by my grandparents and various aunts and uncles, and shoot off fireworks. It is centrally located in he Berner Oberland in the middle of Switzerland making it very convenient to make day trips around the area.       ... Simpson and that provided us with endless entertainment. We then made our way back to the hotel for an early night as Matt and Ly were off to Wengen at 5am in the morning and we were off to Lucerne.       ... the ridge we round another bend and see Planplatten and that the cable car is running. It is still a bit away and it is now 3:30. I am afraid that based on another lift which closed early at the top that this was only open to 4 or 4:15.
