1st August is Swiss national day, celebrating neutrality for many years. For my family, it is tradition to go to the Husli (little house in Swiss German), a little chalet build in the 60s by my grandparents and various aunts and uncles, and shoot off fireworks. I am afraid that based on another lift which closed early at the top that this was only open to 4 or 4:15. This makes me pick up the pace and when I get close to the lift, there is an extremely steep hill to the top. I start to push to get there and right at 4:00 the lift stops. I am thinking no way we miss this by 2 minutes when all of ...

... applesauce part felt ambitious and authentice, and it was yummy, but the chef had dropped in some unwanted surprises: blue vein cheese clusters amongst the other cheeses, and so it was a bit unpleasant to discover this unexpectedly after a few bites! Unlike many other mature flavours, blue vein cheese has not grown on Sam, and she still thinks it smells like ...
