... Mont Blanc which I believe is about 4,800 metres. The town of Chamonix is at the base of it and is a major ski village in winter, and a base for hikers, mountain bikers and tourists in summer. We got there late one afternoon and planned the next day for me to go up the Auguille du Midi cable car to see Mont Blanc up close and for Phillip to go for a ride up some of the smaller peaks in the area. The next morning we woke to heavy rain which ...

... was good but just as we finished we was a storm coming across the lake. It started to rain and all of the patrons of the restaurant who were eating outside rushed inside as the wind came up and it started to pour. When the storm was over we called for a taxi and headed back to the hotel.

Getting back to the hotel, Melody went up to the room and the rest of us had a night cap and desert before turning in for the night. We plan to meet downstairs for breakfast at ...

... the air and sat in the
trees, clacking their huge beaks like they were faintly annoyed at something.
We cycled along the lake side and stopped for lunch at Meersburg where the ferries go across to Konstanz. The town of Meersburg is very pretty and dominated by a large schloss. We continued along the lakeside for a while longer to Hagnau and then headed north through
more vineyards and back to the campsite. It was getting very hot by this point
