... out and snow capped mountains in particular Wetterhorn which made me stare, then the camera just kept shooting the surrounds, flower studded alpine chalets and pastures set against an Oscar-worthy backdrop. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

But then it gets better - 12.47am I get onto another train that goes to Kleine Scheidegg, you can’t get on a train that goes straight from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch because ...

... Switzerland, I'd be long gone by now! I walked around Lake Zurich and enjoyed the stillness of it all: the swans and ducks, people out jogging and walking their dogs, boats lining the shore, leaves starting to change to their autumn colours. Yesterday afternoon I boarded the train to Interlaken. I might hole up here until Oktoberfest and in the meantime hike and try out some of the adventure this little mountain town has to offer. When I awoke in Interlaken I knew it was time to go up some serious mountains. I drove up to Stechelberg where I could catch the cable car up to Gimmelwald and possibly to Murren up higher. I was most interested in Gimmelwald as it was very small, very high up and looked cute as a button. Murren was more of a resort.

... a gondola they use for skiing in the winter and it graciously wisks us up the mountain we would be too tired to climb. Jack and I run off to the local indoor aquatic center for jaquzi, swim time, and hot showers.
