... I then saw a Museum of Naive Art - I figured I was really hot and needed a break from the sun/humidity and walking. Apparently Naive Art is a subset of modern art and Croatia has a good collection - it was nice as only a few rooms and good descriptions (and air conditioning to cool down). ... I'd bought my camera with me, it was just too hot to lug it around. I stopped at a perfect people watching restaurant and tasted a Croatian beer (Karlovačka), bruschetta and spaghetti bolagnase. A lot of their cuisine seems to be pizza, pasta and seafood. After a good hour of eating and people watching I ventured around the corner to find the main square and was completely breath taken - I almost cried, it was amazing! Pltvices lakes on the other hand were amazing and should be on your bucket list!
They are a set of sixteen lakes inter-connected by a series of the most amazing cascading terraces and spectacular waterfalls. The water is so clean and different shades of green depending on depth and it is so crystal clear that you can see the bottom and all the fish swimming in it.

... have to come back up – 237 steps. We made it OK – puffing a bit and I was a bit worried about Craig’s knee but he say’s it’s fine.

We had only just got back into the bus when a massive rainshower and thunderstorm hit – how lucky had we been! We then had about a two hour journey to reach tonight’s stop Zadar – on the Croatian coast.
