... found our park for the night with electricity, water and wifi. Thought we would have a little lunch and change into our wet weather gear before heading to the Abbey and all of a sudden the rain stops, the wind blows all the clouds away and there it was, the sun and how beautiful it was to see. Pumped and excited we headed to the parking area for the shuttle to the island. As the Abbey came into view we were both awestruck. It is truly a majestic structure sitting there on the ...

We arrived in Plerguer after about a 4 hour drive. It took for ever. When we arrived we found
      our unit easy.

We went to Mont St Michel. It is a church, a couple of shops and houses on a massive rock.

Today we went to old castle walls at St Malo and walked all the way around.

We passed a prison in the water.

But when it was low tide you could walk across to it.

here was a lot of big rocks to be climbed all over.

We climbed the most biggest and furthest away rock.

It was so fun to ...

We chose Plerguer as a base to explore towns at the top of France.

Mont St Michel was one of the must sees.
As we drove up it was a magnificant sight, rising out of the sea.
We parked in the new car park 3km away as the old one flooded too much with the rising tides. Caught the shuttle over and wandered around this amazing rocky island.
It was low tide while we were there so ...

      Saint Malo Walled City

... reveal to us sporadically the full extent of the beauty which lay across the bay and on the comparatively small rock masses at sea, which had seamlessly grown castles in the same fashion as their own rocky faces. Please visit St Malo, if only as a base to visit le mount saint michel, but you must walk the wall and breath it's salt air. We were so fortunate to have a warm sun with a whipping wind, but I suspect that it would astound on a bland ...
