... It was only a short walk into the town so we went for a look around. Celle is quite a 'show town' and has many many half timbered and very decorative buildings. It suffered no bomb damage during the war so everything is original, not copied, as in many German towns and cities.

It was very hot and most of the pavement cafes were ...

... Car 12, seats 85 & 86. With our reservation ticket in hand, we're no match for the two guys sitting in our 1st class seats and they move on with no objections. Another style of worship, but all God's children carry His spirit within them and we always feel at home. The welcome was warm, the service was great and the coffee afterwards - a good fellowship experience. Following the service out hosts took us to a place not far away where part of ...

All week we have talked about visiting the Medieval wonder of the 11th Century called "Celle" a retreat town for Royalty in the 12th Century. Some 50kilometres away, Celle was a major base for the English and some American Armed Forces who became attached to the charm and architectural wonders of this northern city. No doubt the many boutiques emerged as a result of the English Pound and the American dollar that flowed so freely ...
