    Landed. Waited about 25 on the ground before disembarking but from there it was a breeze at both security, customs and the cab ride to the hotel. Crossed the Williamsburg bridge and saw Manhattan.
    One of the buildings (yet to be identified(Empire State building)) top was lit up like a rainbow for the pride weekend. What a welcome!!

    ... were not so good...

    A suggestion from a friend back home told us to go to the meatpacker district to see the Chelsea Markets. Awaiting us there was a huge range of shops selling the freshest produce from baked goods to seafood. Great spot.

    ... back there several times. Facing the end of my trip, I enjoyed the great variety of Mexican, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine as much as I could, but I also fell in love with Nathan's hot dogs (founded in Coney Island) and cream cheese bagels... As I thought, time has passed too fast and my time there has come to an end. NYC has been a fabulous and worthy finish of an unforgettable journey, a dream which has come true!

    ... fun whispering to each other across the way but laughed even more when another couple arrived and stood in the other corners. The sight of the four of us all facing into the corners amused me greatly. Back upstairs and Andrew found a Faberge egg.
