Even though the Pope left NYC this morning, the Clinton Global Foundation annual conference and the UN are meeting this week. The Foundation conference is at our hotel so there are secret service agents, police and FBI all over the place. Cathay Pacific flight CX841 boarded at Gate 5 at 9;15am for our 14 hour+ migration to Hong Kong. We took off very punctually at 10am in our magnificent Boeing 777 300ER ( MH370 was a 777 200ER ). It was sometimes quite bumpy, as it was on the way over here. The flight was headed north for the polar route again, and I saw the mighty St Lawrence River flowing out of Lake Ontario in Canada, on its 3000+ kilometre journey to the sea.
