Landed. Waited about 25 on the ground before disembarking but from there it was a breeze at both security, customs and the cab ride to the hotel. Crossed the Williamsburg bridge and saw Manhattan.
One of the buildings (yet to be identified(Empire State building)) top was lit up like a rainbow for the pride weekend. What a welcome!!

... We finished our breakfast and walked over to the MET for our own tour. The Oasis tours are absolutely fantastic! We took the Integrity tour and and our guide Chris made history and the Bible come to life. He led us to different exhibits and with humor, inquiry, and discussion, he wove an interactive story of the first century Christians under the rule of Greece and Rome. He was such an excellent guide and our group of 23 was enjoying ...

... pretty tired as we grabbed our ride from Newark airport into NYC.

Apparently we had booked Satan’s shuttle bus from hell as it took over 2 hours to finally arrive at the hotel… we were crammed in like sardines and then had to wait for other people to be picked up and then individually dropped off at various spots around the city, all the while being bounced around as the driver managed to find every pot hole in New ...

    ... Macey’s.

Off we go to Time Square, Macey’s, Madison Square Gardens,
Rockefeller Centre, Radio City Music Hall, Empire State Building and Central
Park. We walked and walked and walked. Had to stop a number of times to re-hydrate
and do a bit of shopping. Being school holidays there were people everywhere.
Had a great day, but got very hot and stuffed (see the photo of Place at
Central Park) and got back on ...

Rested up and then planned to re-visit Eatily place but there was a 1.5 hour wait! Instead went to "Shake Shack" in Madison Gardens. Ruth and Tom played table tennis and it was great occasion but burgers bit greasy (chocolate shake better than strawberry!).

We have discovered Ruth can't eat burgers. May be a problem........

Setting off for Boston tomorrow. Looking forward to quieter days ahead.
