... after 600 years.

Marvelling at the Veil was a quiet break in a busy day, and one we appreciated very much; before we returned to Eibau, we added yet another country to our list - a quick zip into Poland to fill up with cheap petrol! We then went home for afternoon tea followed by bbq in the garden and most of the evening was spent reminiscing about our trip to Botswana. It had been a lovely day all ...

A travelling day today and off to the furthest south-east corner of Germany to meet up with our friends who live in the small town of Eibau. We had a good journey, autobahn most of the way round Chemnitz & Dresden, then down the road to Eibau – an N road but very patched, and unusual in that it seemed to be wall-to-wall villages with very little space in between, unlike the A9 which hardly gave us a view of a house.

They were also incredibly slippery on the ice and I continued to fall over for most of the afternoon. Marc had 2 pairs of boots so he kindly leant me his. Surrounding Marc's boots that I was wearing was all this black dirt and mud. Hmmm someone has come in here before us from a big hike, ...

... night together and had some famous Czech beer ($1 for half a liter) and tried some pear liqueur but that was pretty gross I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
Tuesday morning we woke up bright and early, said our final goodbyes to Hruba Skala and hopped on the bus to Prague! It was about an hour and a half/two hour bus ride. When we got there we all split up and did our own thing. Our group (I made friends with a group from Wooster; there's a good chance that the group ...
