... view of the sea. Mom is happy!!! However, you should have seen her face when they brought out the dinner she ordered! She thought she was getting sea bass....instead she got a bunch of little fish like anchovies, but a little bigger! She was a trooper, and picked them apart because " I don't eat heads or skin". We decided to explore a bit further south and have a look at Sozopol. It's another ancient town, but not a World Heritage site like this one. Took about an hour to drive there - managed to resist the temptation to stop in Burgas this time - and arrived in one piece despite some of the dreadful driving we saw.

On our return to Burgas we made a beeline for the wonderful-looking ice cream shop I mentioned in a previous blog entry, but unfortunately it was closed. It was only about 3pm, but it had started raining, so maybe that was why it wasn't open.

We came across lots and lots of old churches; some in ruins, some not ruined but locked and some neither ruined nor locked.
