Trains from 9am-5pm to get to the other side of Germany. Loooong trip via Frankfurt and Cologne, but it was very interesting to see the countryside. It was Beautiful through the Rhine Valley. ... has suggested we visit enroute. Bamberg is one of them and is supposed to be one of the most attractive towns in Germany..we'll see!

Today we travelled through a lot of rural Germany. The question we kept asking was 'where are all the people?' Even around the hotel in this residential area, nobody was outside, no people walking along the pavements..really strange..as if The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes had happened!

... to Thomaskirche for an organ concert, I passed the Markt and watched part of the Christopher Street Day parade. It was small in comparison to those that I had seen in Chicago, New York, San Francisco and even Indianapolis.
