... br> The first place I went to was the Taga-jinja Shrine ( and museum). Sort of interesting and at least I got a picture for the girls. It was not allowed to take photos inside - well, you could but at a cost; 20,000 yen or $200!!!!! Once upon a time many Shinto Shrines had a connection to fertility rites. Lots of phalluses in the grounds and the museum is packed with anthropological erotica. And pictures!!!!! Say no more.
Then it was to one of the largest stone Torii ...

It is safe to say that this cape ain't a big one. Still I haven spent two days here. Just relaxing and feeling very small when gazing up at the green hill tops or the seemingly angry waves ...

... they mean don't bloody stand up in the canoe..! No better day than the present to give it another go! But you already know I never got there. Shimanto was indeed a very beautiful place and I was too busy keeping my friend Canon busy that I never noticed how the winds had become more chilly. It did however suddenly cross my mind that I had to have the camera on quite high ISO. Which means there isn't a too good light source. A bit odd.. That is when I actually started to ...

... She was a great joy to have and, sadly like most women in my life, she left as quickly as she came. I won’t lie but there were some tears shed on the drive back home. The good news is that I will get a chance in a couple of weeks to go visit her and spend some time together.
