    We have just come back from a lovely trip up to Lake Konigssee, and a boat trip down the lake to St Bartholoma. The lake is nestled between the mountains, and is 602m above sea level with an average depth of 150m. It is the cleanest lake in Germany, with the water being pure enough to be classified ...

    ... out of him at one stage.... even though he reckoned he didn't know the lyrics :) It was a fun tour - Wends and Lisa - you would have loved it ! and I'm sure you would have done yourselves proud during the sing-a-long bits - we were thinking about you :) Hope some of you die hard Julie Andrews fans recognise a few of the locations in the photos.... enjoy.... I'm off to watch the film again to spot some of the shots :) ...

    ... room is tiny and the apartment seems although it is straight from the 1970's! Dietmar is a little odd and in his mid 40's he lives at home with his mother. The location is about 45 mins walk along the river into town which is ok if the weather is nice! As usual we began our stay with a short walking tour of the town to get our bearings.     We exit the gardens. It will not be the final time we make our way through the gardens on this trip, but nothing will beat that first breath-taking view.
