We arrived at Llanes and it took 5 hours to drive to Lanes. It was so boring.
When we got there we realized that there were cats.

They were so cute and there was also donkeys, cows and sheep.

The next day we went to some blow holes.

Our days were filled with exploring and trying to find the numerous tiny and hidden beaches scattered around this area.

The most interesting and unusual was the one where we parked, walked across a grassy field towards a cliff and found a beach, surrounded on all sides by rock cliffs and grass fields.

An exhibit called The Visitors was a “one take” 64 minute jam session played simultaneously on 9 large video screens featuring numerous musicians filmed in separate rooms of a 200 year old mansion in New York State. Captivating!!

Here eating is a way of life. There are restaurants and cafes everywhere. It makes you wonder how that many can survive. Businesses open from 10-12. Lunch goes from 12 - 2 and then the shops reopen and go from 4 - 10pm. Hard to get used to. They start dinner about 9pm even the kids about 1-3.

We found a funicular in the alps (50km away) up to a local monastery and small bckwoods villag and saw the back end ...
