    ... our chances and headed south from Svolvaer instead, Amazingly and fleetingly we spied a small break in the sky and the hint of blueness and the promise therefore of brighter conditions.     ... those fjords, all dressed in white. It really is quite magical, And then with snow falling around us, it is just stunning.

    The dream remains of course to shoot the Northern Lights. Unfortunately with all the cloud, there is no chance to see any lights, and not for the next few days at least. Hopefully the weather will break a little later in the week, otherwise we need Iceland to be kind to us.

    ... 2 other tourists waiting who happened to be going to the same hotel as us on the other side of the fjords- at least we knew we were going to the right place and so with no other option we waited for an hour in the dark and the snow for our ferry- right on time an hour later the ferry arrived and we ran on eager to get warm.     ... around here seems to be the northernmost something. The trotting track was built as there are an abundance of horses in the area. The younger generations don't want to take on the family farms, as they are too much work and too much responsibility. So, instead of working with cows, they take on horses instead as they are less work, but it is harming the dairy industry.     ... something along the lines of 'where did I .. oh right .. I have no idea where I'm leading this girl'. He starts walking me away from the harbor (which is wrong because I knew the hostel was by the water). I say "I don't think this is right, it said it was by the water" "well, but this place has doctors at least.." CAN YOU IMAGINE MY FACE RIGHT NOW ?! I look at him all wide eyed "oh no !
