From la Tour we started walking towards Argentiere but ended up stopping at Montroc where we hopped onto a train to Argentiere with some fellow travellers. With the day done, 18km later and having climbed +3000 feet, we were spent and happily checked into our hotel and hit the hot tub and swimming pool. Paris to Geneva

This morning was an early start (6 AM) to catch the TGV train to Geneva. We had to take the metro to Paris Lyon, where we bought lunch for on the train, and then caught it to Switzerland. It was a bit slower than the Eurostar and took around 4:30. Otherwise it all went smoothly though. Once in Geneva, we caught the tram to CERN, the end of the line, and were slowly transferred ...

... to not only revive the games, but ultimately wanted to change the way of the world through sport. It was incredibly inspiring to see.
The children really enjoyed themselves, listening to the various displays, looking, touching and feeling the different items, and even being able to be interactive with the various Olympic torches over time. It was truly magical.

... feel my hands after packing everything away. Morale was at an all time low for me at this point (box of brownies definitely needed). It continued to sleet on the long 2hr traverse to PP, but after a while I soon warmed up and my mood was lifted, along with the cloud, which moved above and below us, trapping us in a slither of clear air. There was a little climb up to the Plan Praz lift stations at the end, but generally pretty tame stuff.
