... day we drove up to the bottom of Snowdonia ((Machynlleth) and settled into a pub for the evening and watched the next semi-final game. I’d rather wander the isle and stalls, spending my pocket money on weird and exotic food rather than post cards and souvenirs.There are a couple of great supermarkets here in Haute Savoir that I now worship at regularly.The biggest is the Carrefour superstore in Sallanche, about 20 minutes’ drive down the mountain. ... one day a friend of my late husbands who holidays on Kefalonia and had just returned to the UK called in and popped into the conversation that he was thinking of buying some land in Kefalonia, and why didnt I go and have a look as he knew I was selling the cottage.

Kefalonia??? I replied... I had never been to Greece, let alone the greek islands!!

The rest is history as they say! I did go to Kefalonia!, and I did buy land!, ...

... had been faithfully carrying in what seemed like the vain hope of a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Now we were all over it shooting stars glistening above the mountains and above the Cabane. You name it we shot it until nearly 11:00. Now we have to set the alarm for 5:00-6:00 am to get the morning light on these wonderful scenes. I hope we can do them justice because we really want you to see what was so thrilling for us.

... from some fresh snow though and I will have to take Kathryn down once it is fresh. These trails are by far the most rewarding and It looks like there are 6 more to do! I met up with Kat at Tortin and we made our way down to siviez. From there we crossed the valley and got the longest pommel/t bar up the other side to Greppon Blanc.
