... bottomed "toues" -- the bussling Canal du Centre with its lineup of barges waiting to navigate the many locks and the many "pecheurs" (fishermen) fishing for sport as opposed to their dinner! The deep and fast flowing Soane River with the speed boats remind us of home!
Particularly beautiful is the Doubs River valley which cuts it's way through central France to the Alsace. The cliffs are steep and rocky with villages perched on top but no need to ...

... to Skype. We did have one great conversation with John’s cousin Anne in Florida but had all manner of problems with the UK but we will try again tomorrow. The rest of the evening we were catching up with emails etc plus searching for boat bits and pieces we want to buy.

... work t do this otherwise we would have carried on until we were full. It was best to do it at this time of night because crossing the road was easier and the petrol station was empty too.

After doing all the work we were whacked so then we just chilled out for a short while before bed time.
