According to our water taxi driver, Saint Martin is the smallest distinct landmass owned by two different countries.
Whether the island of Saint Martin deserves that distinction or not, it is indeed an island with two faces: one part, the part where we docked and visited, is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and includes the town of Philipsburg; the other is owned by France and includes the town of Marigot.
... attraction is duty free shopping, and I'm not interested in spending any more money on this holiday. Tomorrow we hit the second island of St Thomas. I may feel differently then, and we may disembark.
We went to breakfast in Cabanas buffet and even I have to admit that the views of Phillipsberg, the Capital of St Maarten, through the restaurant's panoramic windows were stunning.
