... the garden beds. The owners looked at each other. ‘Should we
have sent out this brave little soldier to do our work?’ Too late now! She’s out there and we’re in here. The kitten took a few short steps in the direction she’d been staring at. Stalking whatever there was in the darkness. They watched it not quite knowing what to do. The kitten was getting closer again; poised like a statue… totally immovable. Staring ...
... not all that clear and there is no snorkeling to be done here. In order to get in, one had to walk over black stones in the wash zone which was okay if one was careful.
A feast was planned for dinner and Jens & Matt set out to go grocery shopping at Simply in Marigot. There they found tuna steaks (frozen), chicken in various cuts, and steak. A fun evening was spent on the veranda while the late dinner was cooked. ...
Its Sunday again and I'm back at Burger King to pick up the free wifi (Lagoonies is closed on Sundays). That's about as exciting as it gets on Sunday when you are living out in the "Boon Docks" and you don't have transport to get around. Simpson Bay (centre of the Universe around here) would be what you call walking distance in Sydney; similar to walking from our home to Forest Way Shops but not something you would do in the tropical sun unless you wanted to go troppo. ...
... the cockpit when sitting at dock or at anchor.
The Watermaker is probably about 85% done and should be finished on Monday or Tuesday. We will have to take her out to sea though to commission it because the water in the Lagoon here is too dirty and it would just block the filters. We'll do that when we configure all the Navigation Instrumentation.
Apart from installing a new autopilot system the task here has been to get ...
... go with the Onan Generator already installed; built in redundancy. If one goes down the other can keep it charging.
So hopefully "Dave" will go back in the water on Monday and if we can get the motor started we'll move her over the Bay to the FKG Dock where most of the work will happen. Fingers Crossed. I might go exploring over the weekend; catch some rays and sink some beer. I'll check in again when I've got news to report.
Ciao for now.
