... grandstand right opposite the pits, with a screen directly in front. Great seats. If there had been shade perfect! Only one of those and that stand VERY expensive. Saturday was practice 3 and qualifying. Dan was going great, first through all practices however finished 6th in Qualifying. Suzuka is amazing. Then to a jazz festival where we met an animator on South Park for 9 years who is now in charge of the tourist bureau in Ise. Tomorrow Suzuka and more train ...

Then it led ...

Without more than a couple of words between us I managed to work out he raced motorcycles at Suzuka, until injuries to his knee and shoulder became too much. My babel fish app works well enough when I resist the temptation to formulate conjunction riddled sentences and keep it simple: 'it rain ...

... time for dinner so we stopped at a local favorite, Salute where we enjoyed their famous margarita pizza.

The following day we there were only four of us so it was a much more comfortable ride in the rental. We headed back from whence we came, but past all the interesting sites that we stopped to see the following day. We finally arrived at a beautiful lookout point where we could enjoy the site of all the autumn colors on the trees along ...
