I got to try out my new kayak, and we spent our time relaxing and even, briefly, sunbathing.
We got up bright and early this morning to a grey sky, but the air was still quite warm. We had to motor all the way down the river as there was almost no wind at all, but the sun broke through at times and we were soon stripping off some of our (many) layers of clothing.
His view of the day:
We find ourselves at Port du Fret outside of Crozon, Brittany...damn near as far West as France goes. It was a long day from Saint Malo and is a long day from most anywhere. Two memories to record:

... into the natural harbour that contains Brest, but nothing could mar the day we saw dolphins.
We're now staying in the marina in Brest for about a week, and we won't be leaving the harbour in general until the 1st May, so after this spate of blog entries there'll be a break for a while. When May comes, it's onwards and southwards, hopefully to better weather!

But mostly we were thinking about the day to come on Saturday. Aberwrac'h is used by almost everyone as a convenient stopping off point before heading round the north-west corner of France into the Chanel du Four and into Brest. We stuck ourselves on a mooring buoy a couple of miles into the river (for which we were charged the insane sum of €21) and tried not to worry about the next day, with limited success.
... rough last night with lots of noise with the movement. Leisurely start with room service breakfast at 10.00 AM. Been to tours desk, hopefully trips will be available in Gran Canaria & Lisbon as well as Lanzarote, watch this space. Day 3 again lots of nighttime movement.
