campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

Well this is where we ended up after legging it from Saint Nicolas the terrible town! We park up in the local Carpark in town as the Aire was predictably full at 9pm. We get our heads down and put the TV on and watch Terminator 2 with sub titles like you do! We are still laughing at ourselves and the great escape! ... take away the road works signs ( the town is having a new water supply put through its heart) this place could be off a news reel in 1945. It's almost a ghost town and un touched for decades. The Tour de France came through here in 2012 and looks to have taken everyone with it! It seems the residents that do still live here and the local Maire are trying very hard to embrace tourism to bring back some life into this sleepy hamlet. One of 6 in the region with around 600 ...

We went there cause we wanted to go to the some camping called Les Hirondelles (18€) which we discovered last year. It is nice, quiet and out of our book of small campings. A big advantage is that the lady of the camping cooks a wonderful trout which comes out of their private lake, so again we really enjoyed our evening dinner on their terrace. They still remembered us and we chatted a little with our neighbors as well. We were quite tired so went for a ...
