... Old Town. We sat outside till 10 at night after the sun finally set and ate tomato and mozzarella, bruschetta, pizza and chocolate torte. Tonight we are after more traditional Czech food, although we might give the pork knees and boiled cabbage a wide berth.
As as I write this we are sipping my Czech wine, a bargain at 70 koruna (about $3.50) a bottle.

... because the name did not match what they told us what it was called so it was a process, like always. After breakfast we found our way to the main square in the city with the astronomical clock and the church of our lady before time to meet the group for our free tour. The day did not look to promising, it was freezing and it was also supposed to pour, luckily it did not though. ... after all. When the rain did ease and the cloud lift occasionally the woods and forests can be seen to be ablaze with the rich golds and russets of autumn, a magical season of gentle hues.

... can imagine our response to that.....! Today we decided on a quiet day as we both felt tired having been on the go since we left. A walk through the old town, bit of shopping for warmer clothes, and a nice dinner have rounded out an enjoyable stay in Prague. Looking forward to Vienna and a bit warmer weather (hopefully) as we head south. I am also hoping that sometime over the next 6 weeks Geoff has a creative moment and writes a blog! ...
... and there were only a few impressive bits amongst lots of rubbish really. It was a nice way to brighten up a fairly dull street anyway. Next stop was the love locks on a gate overlooking a small stream. We stumbled across it on the way to Prague castle. We strolled up the streets until we got to the castle that overlooked Prague.
