46 kms.... AM - Another wonderful breakfast choice in our 4**** hotel, what else! The rain had gone, as predicted, and the sky was clear and sunny as we headed out of Brno. Left town through a seedy looking suburban area, I guess most cities have these areas. We followed a cycle track, sealed, along a small creek which we rode for kilometres until we reached a beautiful forest area, that clean, alpine ...

... by the way is 4****. Nice renovated buildings, a huge town square and non-alcoholic beer, which we had to have as thirsty travellers. We had seen the scallop shell of St James Way back in Mikulov and lo & behold, it turned up again here in Brno and at St James Church. Czechs learn to dance in school, and Jan happened to travel with a competitive Czech folk dancing troupe, so I was in good hands. I have promised to remember my moves at least until we meet in again in Olomouc later this week. One thing I now know: Czechs have got some skills on the dance floor! --Ann

The rolling hills of the Czech Repubic and no mishaps

Fact correction from last blog entry: It was Cassius, not Julius Caesar, who said "The fault ,dear Brutus, is not in our stars,…." My learned Australian editor, John Carrick, called that to my attention.

Three days in Prague (actually 1 full ones) was not enough time, so maybe 3 full days (with no mishaps to slow you down) with 4 nights would do it.
