We went to the gym early this morning but half the ship seemed to have the same idea - it was crowded to say the least - maybe we need to choose a different time. This afternoon we were surrounded by a huge pod of dolphins- but needless to say as soon as Brian got his camera set up they disappeared! I did manage one shot ...

First formal 'doo' last night, it was an excellent night, we have Bob Champion on-board at the moment and had drinks with him in the Crows nest late last night and we are having dinner with him tonight, a really nice guy and full of great stories. Docked in Vigo first thing this morning, it's a pleasant enough fishing town but nothing special. A day at sea tomorrow, then the Azores on Sunday......should start seeing warmer climates after that. Having a wonderful time ...

... learn, I bring the average age down from 70 to about 51, the older ladies love it. As sad as I sound talking about the older ladies I am genuinely going into these things enthusiastic to learn something; remember this boat is, well, a boat! You do struggle to keep yourself entertained when faced with the same four walls (or rather same water) around you 24/7. In summary, I’m in in to learn, not to woo the blue rinse.

After a fairly bumpy crossing through the Bay of Biscay we arrived at Vigo this morning. Hopefully, I will be able to post this when we go ashore after breakfast. The weather is sunny and the temperature is about 15 degrees. We are not going on an official trip today, just exploring the town ourselves - I believe that there is a very good fish market here. We have been attempting to learn a little Spanish- our instructor has taught us how to order oysters and champagne -should the need ...
