... Wine, +dinner for 2 was €20 all inclusive. Prosecco was €2.50 a glass. Bed by 9:00pm and we adapt nicely to local time. Day 2. Back on Vaporetto #1 to St Marc's Sq early. The waiter, although Italian spoke good English since this bar is near the Academia and an attraction for many English speaking tourists, among others. He suggested a muffin. Since there is no Italin word for muffin, ...

A travel blog entry by bkmuir on Sep 09, 2014

... 6.15pm which was lucky because there was already a line. We got a bit worried as people getting off were saying don't do it and then there was an argument between one if the owners and we guessed an unhappy customer. Sure wished I understood more Italian so I could understand what it was about. Surprisingly behind us in the line were a couple who had come from the dragon boating championships. They were from the LA team and had it won any medals. Spoke to them about Tim and ...

... walking around the museum, we stood outside on the top balcony of the Basilica, and got a spectacular birds-eye view of the whole Piazza San Marco. When we were done with the Basilica, we made our way to the water bus station, heading to Lido Island for the beach.
