... but as if to mock us it was stocked with gas cans of the wrong type! The man gave us free beers to quench the frustration.

Just finished making sandwiches in the laundry block (it's the only place with lights).

Off to bed, tomorrow we need to get to the ferry by 5pm and then cycle another 11 miles to Burhave. Hopefully it's worth it!

Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!

The island doesn't allow cars so we have to bike everywhere, and it is honestly a nice change. It's very peaceful here and the beach is so beautiful. Yes, it is in the North Sea, so the water was freezing but we still went swimming and had such a great time. I definitely hope to come back and vacation ...
