Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!

Me, Tamara, Carmen, and their grandma spent the past week in Langeoog. It is pretty small island, but it has been so much fun. The island doesn't allow cars so we have to bike everywhere, and it is honestly a nice change. It's very peaceful here and the beach is so beautiful. Yes, it is in the North Sea, so the water was freezing but we still went swimming and had such a great time. I definitely hope to come back and vacation ...

We enjoyed riding bikes along the canals in this interesting small town but are starting to yearn for Phillip Island again and looking forward to moving on to ...

... in Aldi stores in Australia, usually around late October/early November for the past few years. Anyway, it is a fantastic taste sensation. If you hate ginger biscuits (like me), then these taste nothing like that – much nicer! We also had Stollen, Dampfnudeln, Bratwurst – I’m not stepping on any scales for a while! I’m worried about how much weight I’ve put on, just at the Christmas Markets!

      The other great thing ...

Well we have now been cycling for about 350km over 6 days and today was somewhat more relaxed for some of us. Greg and a couple of others of course can't help themselves and went off on a 65 km round trip. The 2 nd and 3 rd days were the hardest, windy and a bit wet, but since then, really lovely. Light winds and fine. We ...
