    Where's the sand?

    ... of course, did not rain during dinner, so the boys were still lobbying to play mini-golf (the bouncy houses were shut-down), so Laura and I braved a quick round while the rain started, eventually getting hard enough that we stopped keeping score and just ran through the last several holes. At least it made the boys happy, since they were grouchy about limited sand and missing out on the bouncy houses.

    It rained most of the night.

    ... away (and farther downhill) then necessary because we didn't do our homework and tried to be spontaneous. We did one of these alpine slides ('bobsled' is the popular operator in Hungary) near Visegrád in the hills north of Budapest and had fun, this one was a little steeper and involved a ride up on the ski lift, but I think everyone who tried it had fun. Then it was onwards to the castle.

    The wharf area was a bit like a Paris roundabout when you get in the wrong 'lane'. *@/~#!. if you stayed too long on the berth or you missed out on one, no doubt respective Captains were saying things in impolite terms about the chaos - but then perhaps they are used to it.

    We were well and truly home when the heavens opened and a huge electrical storm seemed to hang around the beach for ages.

    ... are listed on the UNESCO Heritage sites and features vast underground canyons through which the Reka river runs. Apparently, people have lived in the caves from Prehistoric ages. It was a really wonderful experience walking through the many chambers in the eerie darkness. I half expected Gollum to jump out at me. Unfortunately no photography was allowed but I guess the best images are the ones etched in your mind.

    ... emptied all the cupboards on the starboard side as we tried to trace where the cable went. Finally at 6pm we had traced it so time for a drink and replace the cable on Saturday. Cables all sorted we stow away everything once again, have a deck scrub, launch the dinghy and we are ready to go when our guests, Alison and Scott arrive at 4pm. Let the fun ...
