So think planes, trains, and automobiles! Fast train to Rome, flight to Frankfurt, flight to Vilnius (Lithuania) and then 3 hour drive to Klaipeda, executive committee meeting, dinner with Carole and the day ended! Not much in terms of fun for the next three days. We drove to Klaipeda this morning. It was just an overnight stop on the way to Riga. Showed me how excited he was in anticipation of my visit, ...

Fortunately Rudimental doesn't disappoint. The set is insane and it's not hard to tell why they are in such demand. A full band including the gambit of brass and string instruments. Five vocal artists covering the total range. It's a little of their old and a little of their new and for a surprise some classic D&B for us older folks. A throw back to the late ...

... a speech from the balcony at the top of the stairs just above our heads as we dine.

After lunch Cheryl heads back to the ship for the Bridge Championship League while I set off for the main city centre. Not sure what I expected, but there didn’t seem a lot to see so I headed to the local fort for a look through its museum. What a hoot, the old Lithuanian lady at the entrance, who couldn’t speak English gestures that I return 400m to ...
