... dog box that apparently serves as a ticket office. Here I find another non-English speaking lady who extracts 1.74 euro from me for a ticket – who was it that came up with that pricing! After returning the 400m back to the entrance the old girl waves me through and I find out that the museum is probably only worth 1.74 euro after all. There is no English translation and the exhibits are all a bit ho-hum.

The tour began in the central square of Clapedia where Hitler gave a speech in 1933. We then went to a small statue of a mouse that is said to grant wishes if it's nose is rubbed. The tour guide took us to an amber shop where we were able to see the stones being polished and see fine works of art, my brother bought a miniature sailboat made of amber. ... were a whole bunch of "one on One" basketball games going on. We found our way to a restaurant for lunch that had been recommended by a Tlocal and had a nice terrace on one of the town squares. Now time to try the local delicacies, in particular the fried potato with meat stuffing. Sounds good huh? Yeah, nuh!!. This a gelatinous lump of potato and flour with a small amount of meat inside.
