    Slovenia has only 16 miles of coastline, not much compared to Croatia's thousands of miles of coast when you include all of its islands and peninsulas.     There is a difference in the two towns. Piran seems to be the home of the boaties while Portoroz has the beach frontage with the regimented rows of deck chairs and beach umbrellas. In fact, both centres have a very long history that predates the Roman Empire.

    ... Today was too hot . The beach and the pool cool you down so we went to the pool. I went down the slide loads with mum.
